| The Kids Speak Out topic for 2006: "My future is bright because...." Speaches must last between 4 and 5 minutes. For details about the Kids Speak Out program link to this pdf document. The club contest was held Saturday, March 4th at the Lawrence Diploma Completion Center, Malls Shopping Center, 711 W. 23rd St., Suite 6, Lawrence, Kansas. Three girls and one boy entered this years contest. The two winners are Maiko, and Alan. The contestants are also pictured below.
Each year our club awards certificates of participation, and medallions for first, second and third place. First place winners receive a $50.00 cash prize. Zone presentations were also conducted at the Deploma Completion Center on Saturday, March 18, 2006. The first place participants will represent us in the regional contest.
