Our MissionThe club brings together a group of men and women who are interested in the youth of our community. It provides a time of fellowship and communion with others who are concerned about our youth.
Optimist Club ProfileOptimist Club members are area residents that have joined together to aid and encourage the development of youth in the belief that the giving of one's self in service to others will advance the well-being of community life, humankind, and the world. We encourage membership from a cross-section of business, social, economic and cultural life in the Lawrence community. All members are adults of good character, and community standing; reside in the community, and have community interests in the city or areas adjacent to the city. The club is a not-for-profit organization. A letter issued by the U. S. Treasury Department for our use in documenting our tax exempt status is available in PDF format for printing by clicking here.
